Below is some useful travel information to get to Villa Gabriella and a number of website links but please do contact us so we can advise on the best options.
The most direct route to Villa Gabriella is a flight into Preveza Aktio (PVK) airport from which Villa Gabriella is about a 40-minute drive, either by taxi or in a rental car from the airport. We can assist with arranging both taxis and rental cars if needed and we will provide detailed driving instructions. There’s a useful little video here, about the final 600 metre drive to the villa.
Flights to Preveza are predominantly at the weekend although mid-week flights are increasing in frequency each year. We would recommend Skyscanner as the simplest way to identify your flight options.
Easyjet fly in/out from both London Gatwick and Manchester on Wednesdays and Sundays and also Fridays from Gatwick only. On Saturdays there are flights from Vienna with Austrian; with Thomas Cook from Manchester and Transavia from Schipol. Transavia also fly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Sundays there are flights from London Gatwick, Manchester and Bristol with Thomas Cook and London Gatwick and Manchester with TUI (who also fly on Wednesdays); from London Heathrow with Britsh Airways (only bookable via Charterflights) and from Oslo with Norwegian Air Shuttle who also fly in/out on Thursdays. You can also fly direct on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from Prague with Smartwings.
For a wider choice consider flights into Corfu (CFU) e.g. Easy Jet, to connect with the Sky Express service to Preveza, or take a 10 minute taxi ride to Corfu Town port and catch the Ferry to Igoumenitsa and then take a taxi (about 90 minutes and around 130-140 Euro) or hire a car to Lefkada. The ferry timetable is here.
Another alternative is a scheduled flight to Athens. Most major European airlines (and others) offer daily scheduled services. You can rent a car at the airport and the pleasant drive, bypassing Athens on the modern motorway, takes about five hours. You cross the Corinth canal, drive along the north coast of the Peleponnese, across the stunning suspension bridge at Patra and then wind your way up the mainland and onto Lefkada and to Villa Gabriella. Choosing to drive offers the opportunity to stop at some interesting ancient Greek sites along the way should you please or mix a week at Villa Gabriella with some time in Athens or other parts of the beautiful country of Greece. If you’d rather not drive then take the modern and relaxing coach from Kiffisus Bus Station in Athens to Lefkada having taken a 45 minute taxi ride (around 40 Euro) from the airport to the Bus Station. From Lefkada Coach Station take a 20-minute taxi ride to Villa Gabriella or talk to us in advance to arrange a rental car to meet you at the coach station. Information on coaches from Athens to Lefkada (and return) can be found here.
In a similar vein you can fly into Greece’s second city, Thessaloniki, which also offers coach connections to Lefkada and of course car hire options. Again it’s a 4-5 hour drive through the beautiful mountains of Northern Greece, mainly on a very good motorway. The coach timings can be found here.
However you choose to get to Lefkada and Villa Gabriella you’ll find everything you need for a wonderful holiday as you pull in through the gates of the Villa to the breathtaking views across the Ionian and a week or two of utter relaxation.

For getting around on the island and to maximise the benefits of the beautiful location of Villa Gabriella, car hire is strongly recommended but it is possible to get taxis to/from the villa and around the island.
